The BAE Systems Electronic Systems recognized Thuro Metal Product Inc., for outstanding performance in 2024. The recognition occurred by BAE Systems at their Partner 2 Win Symposium and Awards event held on March 27, 2025, in Boston Massachusetts. BAE Systems was thanked by the Thuro team for providing substantial Supplier Development assistance throughout the 4-year journey to this important milestone.
David Thuro, CEO of Thuro Metal Products Inc. comments that the process was not easy nor without requiring significant investment. The journey began in February of 2020 with a 5-day Kaizen event at our facilities in Brentwood N.Y. BAE assembled a team from around the United States to partner with Thuro. Lean Principles were used during the next three years to dramatically reduce waste. Looking back 5 years later, our whole company and customer base has benefitted from BAE’s “High Bar” for quality, delivery and cost. It truly became a dream of the Thuro team to reach and sustain world class performance. Both the commitment of BAE’s team and our team, coupled with investments into the systems needed to achieve and sustain great performance are to be attributed to this achievement.
